Success with Celibacy

In a world where we’re constantly bombarded with images of scantily clad women gracing the covers of popular magazines, television, and films, it’s evident that sex still sells. Even on social media, posts of celebrities and brand ambassadors struggling to gain commissions often put morals and clothing aside for likes. This type of imagery has also developed the idea that indulging in sexuality is the only way to be successful. Author DeNesha RaChelle Manning gives us a guide and great advice on how to be celibate, successful and classy with her new book, Single Celibate & Fine as Wine Closed Legs DO Get Fed.

Manning is very transparent about herself as she describes exactly what celibacy for a career woman in the 21st century could look like. The importance of a relationship with Christ is a major theme in her book. At age 31, Manning felt she was truly saved and excited about living a healthy, Christian life. As Manning began to change her lifestyle to parallel with Christ, she shared one of her personal missions as a woman of God.

"Being saved to seek Him and in turn I learned more about myself."

Long before the composition of her book, at the age of eight. Manning was attending church on a routine basis with her great grandmother.

"Even then I was a very independent little something." Laughed Manning as she described how she got herself up every Sunday and prepared for praise and worship services as a young girl. Manning attributes the classy and regal like qualities needed to maintain celibacy to her upbringing.

"Great grandma was meek and very ladylike and served the church wholeheartedly her entire life".

Years later, Manning enlisted in the army national guard, where she served eight years as a means to pay for college. While in the military, Manning learned the value of health and mental wellbeing.

"Joining the military taught me how to understand your opportunities and maximize your opportunities for good".

Manning earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Central Arkansas. She also earned a Master's of Business Administration from Belhaven University.

Manning became a Texas transplant after working in corporate America and traveling across the country for projects. In 2011, Manning decided to make North Texas her permanent home. Manning is the host of her own show on the Roku Network titled The DeNesha RaChelle Show; where she discusses various issues, from dating to fashion trends.  The second season of The DeNesha RaChelle show can also be viewed on Preach The Word Worldwide Television Network, an expansion that has stretched her audience to reach Atlanta, Los Angels, and New York City.

Prior to the completion of her book, Manning was featured in Soul Talk Volume II, another Christian-based book, where she proposes that God is training each of us in our unique environments to prepare us for the next steps in our lives. A common thread in all of Manning's work publications is the V word —vulnerability.

"We are set free by becoming transparent If you want to relate to people on a deeper level. You have to remain as vulnerable as possible," states Manning.

The composition of Manning's new release took more time to prepare because she wanted to gather enough life experiences to truly reach her audience.  This process takes courage and self confidence, knowing people are reading pages from personal chapters in her life. The target demographics for Single Celibate & Fine as Wine Closed Legs DO Get Fed, is ages 30 to early 50s career-driven women, however Manning feels younger women can still benefit from reading the book because she believes its many scenarios that can help prepare any woman to push past temptation in the dating world if the situation presents itself. This book is a reflection of her experience and her journey with Christ and her desire to become a wife.

"If more people would release the need of wanting to be perfect, it would be freeing and heal so many women.”

Manning understands what it's like to be young and still trying to figure out a purpose in life, so when speaking to anyone she creates a judgement free zone.

"I like to give people the freedom of knowing it's okay to make mistakes.  You're still young, beautiful and have the opportunity to see your own potential.”

Fashioned for Dominion is a common theme on Manning's projects and social media.  She developed the term from scripture, "We were designed and shaped to rule in our areas of dominion.”

Although the term wasn't used to promote fashion, Manning has worked as a celebrity guest model with Legal Hostage of Dallas and continues to use fashionable clothing as a fixture in her shows and public appearances.

Manning credits her mother, grandmother and great grandmother for giving her the confidence to be fearless in her purpose.

In the future, Manning plans to expand her audience through her show subscriptions and the launch of her newly released book. She wants to reach as many women as possible, showing them that they can be saved, single, celibate, fine as wine and still live in your divine purpose — all it takes is courage and faith.
