Austin’s newest water adventure is back at Lake Travis

John A. Shipley and Brian F. George, the team that created Lake Travis Zipline Adventures (LTZA), known for the longest zipline in Texas, bringing back Lake Travis Waterloo Adventures (LTWA) for the full season this summer with surprises and additions. This exciting adventure offers guests “The Ultimate Lake Experience,” which includes a floating water park and obstacle course, access to a beautifully landscaped private resort-style beach, and a boat ride to and from Adventure Island located at 14529 Pocohontas Trail, Leander, TX 78641.

A day at LTWA also allows guests to spend the day playing beach games, swimming, and exploring the additional water attractions in the Aqua Park area, including a massive 14-foot climbing tower, the Ice Tower XXL, the Free Fall Supreme water slide standing 16.5-feet tall, The Springboard Jump Tower with multiple levels, an amazing 25-foot trampoline, and 45 minutes on the “Floating Challenge Course”, a course larger than 2 football fields.  But “The Ultimate Lake Experience” would not be complete without some relaxation. While the kids continue to burn energy after the 45-minute session on the Floating Obstacle Course, adults can relax in the shade on a hammock or lounge chair and enjoy one of the most spectacular views of Lake Travis. Adventure Island also offers food and beverages, including wine, beer and frozen drinks. Floating coolers are also available.

The highlight of LTWA is the “Floating Challenge Course” designed by Wibit, a German company that created the inflatable water park industry and continues to revolutionize play on the water. Built for beginners to experts, the 600-foot water playground offers a wide array of fun and challenging obstacles, including climbing walls, monkey bars, slides, hurdles, balance beams, bridges and so much more. Guests must be at least 7 years of age and 45” tall to play on the course.

“In our first season, we found that the water park is great for everyone from kids to wannabe Ninja Warriors, but feedback confirmed one of the best features is its beautiful location,” exclaims Brian F. George, “come enjoy the adventure, but stay to soak up 1000 feet of incredible lakefront and hillside views. With even more lush and mature landscaping this season, Adventure Island will make you feel like you’re on vacation at an exotic location."

For those looking for more thrills and chills, adrenaline junkies can take on both Lake Travis adventures this summer. LTZA, also located at Adventure Island, offers a 3-hour tour with 5 of the fastest and longest ziplines in Texas, ranging from 300 feet to over 2800 feet. In between gliding across beautiful canyons and soaring over Lake Travis, zipliners will take nature hikes through the Texas Hill Country with a professional tour guide.
