Black Curl Magic Tour Coming to Texas

Black Curl Magic Tour Coming to Texas

Natural hair care is coming to Texas as Aeleise Jana and Aisha Strickland bring the “Black Curl Magic” tour to Dallas this April.

The dynamic duo behind the widely popular #30DayHairDetox and Cut It Kinky will be setting up shop at Scene Salon on April 8 and 2:00 p.m. along with Glenn Charles to hold a four-hour workshop on the science of hair, including one-on-one consultations, in-depth conversation about hair products and styling demonstrations.

Guests at the events will learn how to keep their hair moisturized without oils, butters or greases as well as be encouraged to explore their personal beauty be using more water rather than the products many women of color have grown accustomed to.

“We’re doing too d*** much when it comes to our hair,” their website reads. “Butters on top of oils on top of conditioners on top of more oil. Cleansing the buildup with lotion-y cleansers. Slicking down our edges with sludge and gels that feel like glue. The underlying theme of this challenge is really just wash your hair. With shampoo. And use simple conditioning and styling products with water based and water soluble ingredients.”

Following the Dallas gathering, the team will be heading to Houston to take over Eclectic Vibz Salon on May 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to keep the natural hair movement, well, moving. To learn more about Aisha and Aeleise and Black Curl Magic, check out their website here.
