As such, you’ll want to use some more fresh herbs to put the flavor back into any dish you’re making. If you’re able to, you can grow them on the window sill and simply cut off a few heads or leaves when you want them - that’ll keep them fresh without the need for a fridge!

Putting a rub on some meat, or leaving it in a strong marinade for half an hour, are both amazing ways to infuse flavor deep into the layers. Even non-meat items like grains and vegetables will benefit from these treatments too! If you’ve got some low carb, high protein ingredients in the fridge, and you know you can’t just smother them with a tasty sauce, this is an easy way to be more sophisticated. 

Hide Vegetables in Sauce or Dips

If you want to consume a few more vegetables day by day, you’re probably going to have to start hiding them! You don’t want to be eating greens with every meal, but if you can pop a few peppers or some kale into something like a crack dip, these ingredients are going to go down smooth. And this is definitely a trick that works on kids as well as adults, so we recommend it wholeheartedly for your healing eating plans! 

Soups are Very Easy!

Soups are some of the easiest meals to make, and you don’t need much in the way of culinary skills to pull a hearty, tasty, and healthy soup together. You just need a basic broth, something to put in it, and then decide if you want to make it chunky or smooth. 

For the latter you’ll want a blender or a handheld puree device, and for the former you need nothing other than the pot it cooks in! If in doubt, chuck it all in a pot, add some herbs and spices, and leave it to simmer for a while.
