Broadway at the Hobby Center Announces Season Updates

Broadway at the Hobby Center recently announced that all shows with the exception of two have been rescheduled to the 2021-2022 season and additionally includes Disney’s “Frozen,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “Hamilton.”

"We are looking forward with hope and excitement to the end of this extended intermission from Broadway and welcoming audiences back to the Hobby Center. It is the communal nature of live theatre that makes it so special, and unfortunately, that is the very thing that has been keeping us apart during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we take heart in the knowledge that we will return with the support of our subscribers and Houston audiences who will be able to experience the magic and uplifting nature of live theatre together again,” said Fran Macferran, President and CEO of the Hobby Center Foundation.

Additional changes to the season schedule noted below:

  • BLUE MAN GROUP, originally scheduled to play April 20-25, 2021, has been cancelled.

  • JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, originally scheduled to play May 11-16, 2021, has been cancelled.

  • FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has been added as part of the season.

  • Disney’s FROZEN has been added as part of the season.

  • HAMILTON has been added to the season as a 7th show option. Once subscribers purchase a 6-show season package, they will have priority access later this spring to secure the same package seats for Hamilton.
