Otero shared, “Around 2012, I was searching for business resources and affordable coaches when I ended up creating a Facebook community called Get It Girls, aka G.I.G. I was determined to rebuild after losing everything and got to a point where other women entrepreneurs were coming to me for advice and help with branding.” Otero also shared, “I created a CEO Chicks t-shirt for the G.I.G community, and it took off. I ended up changing the name of the group to CEO Chicks, and from there, the brand was born. We celebrated four years in business earlier this year, and we’re continuing to grow and put our members and clients in position [to] grow at the same time.CEO Chicks offers membership as well as content that can be purchased separately. Otero is also the author of Brand to Bucks, a resource for strategies for building a six-figure brand.

Some of the highlights from this year include a quarantine series, an introduction of Fempire masterclasses, and weekly giveaways in July that included a $500 business grant, products, services, and a copy of Otero’s book. CEO Chicks also donated $2,500 and free membership to a member who wanted to open a laundromat, provided advice to an owner of a PR agency on how to pivot and increase income, helped a makeup artist break into five-figure weeks online, and provided strategies on how a clinic could gain more clients and expand into another state.
